Having grown up with a menagerie of critters, Jessey has been training animals, in some capacity, since she was about 10 years old. Starting with horses, she moved on to her first dog: Delwyn. In 2011, she graduated with a degree in Veterinary Technology and started pursuing the behavior specialty in earnest. She has been working with Dr. Pike since September 2016.
As of 2018, Jessey is a graduate of the Academy of Veterinary Behavior Technicians (AVBT) and is one of less than 20 board certified behavior nurses in the world. This 3-5 year process is designed to truly test her knowledge on all aspects of behavioral therapy in a variety of species: medical, pharmaceutical, learning theory, client education, ethics, law, and practical applications.
When she's not busy around the clinic, she spends time around the house with her husband, two boys (Eddie and Walter), kitties, and fishies.
