In-Office Appointments: Safety Guidelines

Please park in our designated "Barking Spots." Call our main number (888-438-0788, ext 1.) and indicate in which space you are located. A staff member will escort you inside.

Do not allow anyone except your family and staff to interact with your pet.

All dogs must be on leash and all cats must be in carriers.
-
No retractable leashes.

If your pet is experiencing a cough, runny nose, not eating, vomiting, diarrhea, or has been diagnosed with flu, kennel cough, or an upper respiratory infection, please call our office before coming to your appointment.

If you have been experiencing any congestion, coughing, sneezing, vomiting, or have been recently exposed to anyone positive for infectious illness or disease, please consider rescheduling or wearing a mask during your appointment. We appreciate you helping to keep our staff healthy.

In-Office Appointments: Procedural Guidelines

We understand traffic in the DC Metro area is challenging to navigate at times. If you are running late, please contact our team as soon as possible. If you arrive later than 15 minutes past your start time, your appointment will be rescheduled.

For Dogs :
-
If your appointment is in the morning, please skip feeding breakfast.

If your appointment is in the afternoon, please feed only half of your pet's breakfast.

For Cats : Please do not fast.

Food & Treats:
-
If your pet is on a special prescription diet, please bring a meal's worth of food to be used as treats.

Or, bring any other treats allowable within their dietary restrictions.

Medication:

If your veterinarian has prescribed anti-anxiety medications for use prior to vet visits, please administer, as directed, at least 2 hours prior to your appointment.

If you have questions about dosages, please refer to your last appointment summary, or contact our office.

Attendees:

A maximum of 2 pet guardians are permitted to join the appointment.

Other Pets:

No additional pets are allowed unless they are also being assessed.

Telemedicine Appointments: Procedural Guidelines
Phone calls:

A payment link will be sent to you prior to your appointment.

Your payment serves as the appointment confirmation.

Please complete the transaction prior to your call.

On the day of your appointment, our office will call you at the main number listed on your account. Please be prepared to take a call from an unknown or blocked number, and be free from all distractions during the time of the call.​
Zoom video appointments:

A payment link will be sent to you prior to your appointment.

Your payment serves as the appointment confirmation.

Please complete the transaction prior to joining via Zoom.

A Zoom link will be sent prior to your appointment time.

Your pet is not required to be present for the Zoom video appointment.
Other Policies:

Our team understands that living with a troubled pet is challenging, frustrating, and causes emotions to run high. We are dedicated to supporting our families however we can. Our team operates on a policy of mutual respect. Any verbal abuse will not be tolerated and those responsible will be asked to vacate the premises immediately.

Training and behavior modification success is dependent upon an owner's adherence to their pet's treatment plan, and commitment to training and management. Therefore, we are unable to provide refunds for any services already provided.

Payment is due at the time services are rendered.

Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy:

If you need to reschedule, cancel, or have any questions about your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.
-
48-hour notice is required to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
-
Missed appointments without proper notice will incur a $75 fee.
