After finishing her Bachelor’s degree, Sam completed a graduate certificate program in Medical Physiology through the University of Florida and the pre-medicine CERT program through VCU Medical School. During this time, she worked as a Care Partner in the Surgery Trauma Unit at VCU Health.

After taking care of her sick dog, Sam decided to combine her love of animals and medicine, and began the process of becoming a veterinarian. She has applied to veterinary school, continues her work at VCU Health, and is gaining great experience working at the Richmond office of Animal Behavior Wellness Center.
