Aileen Tubbs

Practice Manager

Special Interests:

  • Canine Agility

  • Horseback riding

  • Puppy training

Her Pets:

  • Gabby - Labrador Retriever

  • Monty - Appaloosa/Quarter Horse

Aileen developed a passion for working with animals at an early age, training her childhood Golden Retriever, Kazana. She continued along that path training her Labradors, Haley, Molly, Dixie, and Gabby in agility, obedience, rally, nosework, field/hunt, and therapy.  She has taught classes in family dog, rally and agility, and is an advocate for positive reinforcement clicker training. In 2015, she hosted a positive Gun Dog seminar, hoping to pave the way for field sports to change their training methods. Aileen is proud to display Gabby's Junior Hunter ribbons, achieving this title with a single training tool - her treat bag.

Aileen's career in veterinary medicine also started at a young age. Her first job in high school was as a vet assistant. After graduating with a Biology degree from Mary Washington College, she continued to work in the field and now has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine. As an office and practice manager for two veterinary practices, and a children's behavioral health facility, she enjoys managing the day-to-day facets of a business, and looks forward to working with the ABWC offices.

Combining her veterinary and training experiences into a single job is her dream. As the Practice Manager for ABWC, Aileen will uphold the practice values, build trusting staff relationships, and use the powers of teamwork to reach new heights in providing quality service to our clients and their beloved pets.
