Kayla (they/them) began volunteer work in animal welfare as a teenager, an interest that developed into a passion for animal rights work. They previously worked as a researcher at an animal rights organization, where they investigated corporate practices contributing to the exploitation of animals used for food, clothing, experimentation, and entertainment.
Kayla’s adoption of their reactive dog, Stanley, marked the beginning of their passion for supporting animals with dysregulated nervous systems.
